Abdullah Gül University (AGU) has been declared a "Technology Development Zone" (Technopark) with the Presidential Decisions published in the Official Gazette.
The Presidential decree no. 2869 on the establishment of "The Abdullah Gül University Technology Development Zone" on the AGU Mimarsinan Campus was published in the Official Gazette dated and numbered 27 August 2020.
"The Abdullah Gül University Technology Development Zone" (Technopark) will be operational on a 98-decare area on the Mimarsinan Campus thanks to the founding partnership of Abdullah Gül University, Kayseri Chamber of Industry, Kayseri Chamber of Commerce, Mimarsinan Organized Industrial Zone, and the Abdullah Gül University Support Foundation.
The Technology Development Zone (TDZ) has been planned to be in the service of researchers with a 12,700 m² closed area. Besides providing office spaces, it will include living spaces, training and meeting rooms, laboratories, and prototyping workshops for companies.
The AGU Technology Development Zone will provide service to researchers in the fields of health, medicine, biotechnology, advanced materials, smart systems, energy, innovation, and entrepreneurship. It is aimed that the research and laboratory infrastructure of TDZ will meet the needs of the regional industry 100%, and its living spaces and social facilities will allow working 24/7 with its architecture and environment.
Among the targets of the Technology Development Zone, there are organizing training for the sustainability of companies in terms of mainly branding, internationalization, digitalization, marketing, and commercialization, offering consultancy on grants and investment areas to companies within its structure, giving discounts on rents and research infrastructure access to companies that carry out projects towards establishing inter-company and University-Industry cooperation,
Helping Startup companies within its structure to receive micro investment funding and support from angel investors networks, offering incubation services and organizing professional acceleration programs, and matching mentors with mentees.
The revenue to be generated by the Technology Development Zone is also aimed to be used to support the companies within its structure to increase their branding, internationalization, digitalization, marketing and commercialization capacities and R&D infrastructures.
