Assoc. Prof. Alper Uğraş, Director of the School of Physical Education and Sports (BESYO) at Abdullah Gül University (AGU), wrote another book entitled “Ağırlık Antrenmanları ve Zindelik” (Weight Training and Vitality). The work, published by AGU Publications, will guide readers on how to take effective decisions about the role of sports in their daily lives.
Assoc. Prof. Alper Uğraş' new book “Ağırlık Antrenmanları ve Zindelik” (Weight Training and Vitality) features theoretical and practical information on vigor, weight and flexibility training, diet and performance, special programs tailored for various sports, sports injuries and first aid.
Assoc. Prof. Uğraş said, he wrote the book for people of all ages and sexes who are interested in weight training and vitality so that individuals or groups can plan their exercises in the right and healthy way based on scientific data.
Assoc. Prof. Uğraş also stressed, it is going to be a reference book for students taking "Weight Training and Physical Fitness" course as part of undergraduate curricula in various universities.
Rector Prof. İhsan Sabuncuoğlu congratulated Assoc. Prof. Alper Uğraş for his new book from AGU Publications and commented that the book will benefit students in particular and be a valuable part of the university's societal impact mission in general.
“Ağırlık Antrenmanları ve Zindelik” (Weight Training and Vitality), an important publication in the field, will be on the shelves of all university libraries.
Assoc. Prof. Alper Uğraş' previous books “Temel Basketbol” (Basics of Basketball) and “Basketbolun Bilimsel Yönü ve Antrenörlük” (Scientific Side of Basketball and Coaching) were published last year by AGU Publications.
