Abdullah Gül University (AGU) and Hasçelik Kablo Industry and Trade Inc. have signed a cooperation protocol. The protocol will enable students to carry out their doctoral dissertations, master's and undergraduate theses under R&D topics and as R&D projects.
Rector Prof. İhsan Sabuncuoğlu and Necmettin Baktır, CEO of Hasçelik Kablo Industry and Trade Inc., signed the protocol in the Rectorate Senate Room on the Sümer Campus.
Thanks to the protocol, my university will be able to carry out joint projects with Hasçelik Kablo Industry through the Technology Transfer Office and these projects will be R&D related, said Rector Sabuncuoğlu.
The protocol will enable students to carry out their doctoral dissertations, master's and undergraduate theses under R&D topics and as R&D projects, stated Sabuncuoğlu adding that Hasçelik Kablo Industry will be able to benefit from knowledge, experience and resources of the university.
Students will have internship privilege at the company and together they will initiate projects to be financed by external sources (TEYDEB, TUBİTAK, SANTEZ, FP7, H2020), recorded Sabuncuoğlu.
Informing about the company's business areas, Necmettin Baktır, CEO of Hasçelik Kablo Industry and Trade Inc., stated that the protocol singed with Abdullah Gül University will contribute to both the university and their company.
Baktır added, university's academic members will have the chance to work and research in the R&D center of the company in order to gain industrial experience.
AGU Vice Rectors, Deans, Department Heads and senior managers of Hasçelik Kablo Industry and Trade Inc. joined the meeting.
