AGU Spor Win with 13-Point Lead Against Fenerbahçe

Abdullah Gül University Youth and Sports Club (AGU Spor) triumphed over Fenerbahçe 84-79 in the 3rd game of the play-off semi-finals in Bilyoner.com Women's Basketball League.

The Kayseri team starters were Chelsea Gray, Zoi Dimitrakou, Pınar Demirok, Mirna Mazic and Lara Sanders.

The away team led the first quarter 23-13, the second 39-36 and the third 52-50.

The red-white team gained the advantage in the last quarter after impressive attacks and increased the margin. In the last quarter, AGU Spor let the navy blue-yellow team score only 10 points and scored 25 points themselves leading 13 points. AGU Spor finished 75-62 triumphant enjoying the support of the spectators.

To AGU Spor's victory Lara Sanders contributed with 18 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 blocks; Chelsea Gray 16 points, 5 assists, 3 rebounds; Zoi Dimitrakou 12 points, 2 rebounds; Janel McCarville 11 points, 10 rebounds; Pınar Demirok 11 points and 2 rebounds.  

Players of the red-white team shared their joy of victory with spectators who showed great support. AGU Rector Prof. Dr. İhsan Sabuncuoğlu watched from VIP seats and went to the locker room to congratulate the players.

The 4th match of the series led 2-1 by Fenerbahçe will be played on Saturday, 30 April at Kadir Has Sports and Congress Center.
