Abdullah Gül University Youth and Sports Club (AGU Spor) beat Galatasaray 67-55 and won the first play-off match of Bilyoner.com Women's Basketball League.
The starting lineup of the Kayseri team was Chelsea Gray, Zoi Dimitrakou, Pınar Demirok, Mirna Mazic and Lara Sanders.
While the first quarter of the game was led 21-19 by the away team, AGU Spor finished the half and the third quarter 37-31 and 58-42 triumph respectively. The red-white team maintained the game and score advantage in the last quarter and won 67-55 having a 1-0 lead in the series.
For AGU Spor Zoi Dimitrakou had 27 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists; Chelsea Gray 13 points, 6 assists; Pınar Demirok 11 points; Janel McCarville 7 points and 8 rebounds.
The second match of the series in which a team with 2 victories will advance will be held in Istanbul on Tuesday, April 12.
