Abdullah Gül University (AGU) and the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office signed a cooperation protocol. The protocol covers joint training and improvement of existing training activities at the Penal Institutions, projects, collaborations, and sustainable development goals. Within the protocol, convicts, detainees, children, and personnel of the penal institutions will be trained.
Rector Prof. Dr. Cengiz Yılmaz and Kayseri's Chief Public Prosecutor Habib Korkmaz signed the protocol in the Rector's Office on the Sümer Campus. With the protocol, AGU and the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office aim to develop joint projects.
Within the protocol's scope, convicted and arrested children aged from 13 to 18 on the campuses of the Penal Institutions will receive training from AGU on theater and poetry, join its game workshops and coding and 3D printing training. AGU will also develop projects for children between the ages of 0 to 6 staying with their mothers in prisons. Additionally, seminars will be organized for the personnel of the penal institutions.
Besides Rector Yılmaz and Chief Prosecutor Korkmaz, AGU's Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Erk Hacıhasanoğlu, Youth Factory Coordinator Lecturer Bora Akince, Ahmet İhsan Koç, Public Prosecutor responsible for Penal Institutions, and Ömer Demirgöz, Deputy Public Prosecutor responsible for Penal Institutions, were present at the signing ceremony.
