Prof. Dr. Niğmet Uzal, a member of the Department of Civil Engineering at Abdullah Gül University (AGU), joined the Stakeholder Workshop on Kayseri's Climate Change Action Plan (İDEP), organized by Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality's Department of Climate Change and Zero Waste.
Prof. Dr. Uzal presented "Climate Change: Reusing Wastewater" at the workshop, held at Lifos Hall of Kadir Has Congress Center. In her presentation, Prof. Uzal focused on wastewater treatment, wastewater reuse practices, and sustainable development goals.
Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality, Sibel Livdumlu, Head of the Provincial Directorate for Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Ali Hasdal, Deputy General Secretary of the Metropolitan Municipality, Buket Ergin, Head of the Municipality's Climate Change and Zero Waste Department, Tamer Atalay and Engin Algür, Advisers for the Climate Change Awareness Project, and academics from various institutions were present at the workshop.
Within the project "İDEP-Kayseri's Climate Action", various training sessions and workshops were held; greenhouse gas inventory and climate risk and vulnerability assessments were prepared; lastly, the outputs obtained will be shared with the stakeholders.
