World Art Day, one of the international days proclaimed by UNESCO and celebrated on 15 April, was marked at Abdullah Gül University (AGU) with a whole-day program involving various events.

The first event of the program was the exhibition “Maziden İzler Sergisi” (Traces of the Past), a collaborative project of AGU, Erciyes University, and Ulusal Fotoğraf Amatörleri Derneği (UFAD, National Association of Amateur Photographers). The exhibition was opened at the Abdullah Gül Presidential Museum and Library.

Afterwards, a debate on art took place between the students of Kilim High School for Social Sciences and the Culture and Literature Club of Abdullah Gül University at the museum hall. The high school and university students argued for and against supporting or refuting the question "Should works of art be exhibited in their country of origin or a country where they could be protected better?" and intrigued their audience. Kayseri Provincial Director of National Education Ayhan Teltik and AGU Vice Rector Prof. Erk Hacıhasanoğlu were also among the audience.

The Art Day program continued with the group exhibition of academics from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Erciyes University and ended after the concert of the Classical Turkish Music Ensemble of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Erciyes University.
