Head of the EU Delegation to Turkey Ambassador Nikolaus Meyer-Landrut visited the Kayseri Model Factory located on the Abdullah Gül University (AGU) Sümer Campus.
Ambassador Nikolaus Meyer-Landrut came to Kayseri with his spouse Brigitte Landrut for a series of visits. At the Model Factory, Rector Prof. İhsan Sabuncuoğlu, Chamber of Industry President Mehmet Büyüksimitci, Chamber of Commerce President Ömer Gülsoy, and Model Factory officials welcomed their delegation.
After seeing the Model Factory, Ambassador Landrut and the accompanying delegation joined a briefing about AGU and the Model Factory.
Prof. İbrahim Akgün, chair of the AGU Industrial Engineering and member of the Model Factory Executive Board, did the presentation on Abdullah Gül Üniversitesi and the Model Factory.
Prof. Akgün highlighted that the Kayseri Model Factory was the first of its kind to be established on a university campus.
Prof. Akgün also briefed about the activities of the Model Factory up to then and focused on the social impact of those projects.
After the presentation, Prof. Akgün and Model Factory General Manager Salih Yalçın answered the questions of Ambassador Landrut and the delegation.
