AGU Ranked 1st among public universities in the latest national index evaluating the best transition to online education in response to the current epidemic.

The University Assessments and Research Laboratory (ÜniAR) has announced its ranking of Foundation and Public universities that have successfully managed the transition process to online education.

Prof. Engin Karadağ and Prof. Cemil Yücel, founders and directors of the University Assessments and Research Laboratory, conducted with 18 thousand undergraduate students, conducted a survey among numerous students and AGU was selected as best Public university for its transition to online education in the pandemic period.

Rector Prof. İhsan Sabuncuoğlu commented that AGU developed and put in place its innovative educational infrastructure since the establishment of the institution, took fast decisions early in the pandemic period, applied the necessary changes step by step, and managed to complete the semester successfully.

Prof. Sabuncuoğlu also added that students' personal, social, and cultural development was also taken into consideration and integrated into the distance education measures implemented in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Prof. Sabuncuoğlu said that the Covid-19 virus was not the first pandemic in the human history, and it would not be the last as similar global crises were likely to happen again in the near future.

For that reason, Sabuncuoğlu expressed his belief in online education systems and explained the importance they have had in the shaping of AGU's education infrastructure and philosophy since its establishment.
