Sherzod Khidoyatov, First Deputy Minister of Construction of the Republic of Uzbekistan, paid a visit to Abdullah Gül University with a ministry delegation.
Deputy Minister Serzod Khidoyatov and his delegation were informed about the University and Civil Engineering Department in the Rectorate Senate Room on the Sümer Campus.
Assoc. Prof. Evren Mutlugün, Vice Dean of the Engineering Faculty, talked about the mission, vision, faculties, and departments of AGU in an English presentation.
Then, Assoc. Prof. Burak Uzal informed the delegation about the civil engineering department, its projects on construction and the department laboratories.
Sharzod Khidoyatov, First Deputy Minister of Construction of the Republic of Uzbekistan, expressed his satisfaction with the visit to Abdullah Gul University.
During the meeting, potential joint projects between the AGU Civil Engineering and the Uzbek Ministry of Construction and student exchanges were discussed.
The delegation of the Uzbek Ministry of Construction lastly took a tour on the Sümer Campus and saw the Civil Engineering Labs before finalizing their visit.
Besides Sharzod Khidoyatov, First Deputy Minister of Construction, the delegation from the Republic of Uzbekistan consisted of, Alisher Turapov, Deputy Head of Inspection at the Ministry of Construction, Sharaf Radzhabov from the International Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Construction, Vakhob Muratkobilov, Director General of the Institution for Inspection of Urban Planning Documentation, Zohid Muborakov, Section Head of Competitive Bidding for Construction, Serzod Sodikov, Head of Economic Reforms in Design and Construction, Government Specialists Gulida Khadjibaeva and Azimjon Bahridinovich, IT Technology Consultant Sanjar Abduganiev, and Ministry of Construction Specialist Klavdiya Çenç.
From AGU, Vice Rector Prof. İrfan Alan, Engineering Faculty Vice Dean Assoc. Prof. Evren Mutlugün, Civil Engineering Chair Assoc. Prof. Burak Uzal, and Civil Engineering faculty and research assistants joined the meeting.
