European Junior Olympiad in Informatics (EJOI)

For the first time this year, a team from Turkey has joined the European Junior Olympiad in Informatics (EJOI) organized for secondary school students in Maribor, Slovenia. At the Olympiad, Dr. Ahmet Soran from the AGU Computer Engineering assumed the group leader position for the Turkish team.

Besides Dr. Ahmet Soran as the group leader of the team representing Turkey at the Olympiad, Dr. Mehmet Tan from TOBB ETU Computer Engineering was the team leader.

Ahmet Kaan Avcı, a secondary school student, won the bronze medal at the end of the programming competition where a total of 6 questions were tackled in two days.
