"Childhood Cancers and Current Approaches" Seminar at AGU...

Abdullah Gül University (AGU) held a seminar entitled "Childhood Cancers and Current Approaches."

The seminar was organized within the GLB201 Food and Health Course which is part of "Global Challenges" courses constituting an important leg of AGU's third generation university mission. The mission includes societal impact in addition to traditional education and research functions.

Ekrem Ünal, Associate Professor of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at Erciyes University Medical Faculty and Board Member of Kansere Karşı Birlikte Derneği (Association of Solidarity Against Cancer), gave the seminar.

Assoc. Prof. Ünal talked about childhood cancer types and their treatments.

Also answering students' questions, Assoc. Prof. Ünal signaled cooperation with Abdullah Gül University students within social volunteering projects which have direct impact on the society such as blood and bone marrow donations.
