The "Fikrim Geldi" (I Have To Tell My Idea) project, which Abdullah Gül University (AGU) students created to offer mentorship to high school students, ended with the final presentations and the certificate ceremony.

The project was prepared by the Operational Research Student Club with the support of the AGU IEEE Club in order to give training to high school students in Kayseri about entrepreneurship.

For the project, the Operational Research Club students chose 5 schools in Kayseri and invited their students to the Sümer Campus to give training on entrepreneurship, innovation and self-learning.

Training sessions were organized for 6 hours a week for 4 weeks, where high school students were informed about business models, writing projects, presentation and self-learning techniques. Several workshops also included entrepreneurs and academics from the private sector as speakers.

27 students from the successful high schools in Kayseri, namely Ahmet Eren, Nuh Mehmet Küçükçalık, Sami Yangın Anatolian High Schools, Kilim Social Sciences High School and ISTEM College, joined the project and received mentorship from 9 AGU students.

Following the training sessions of high school students, the project was concluded with their final presentations and the certificate ceremony.

The winning group was "Team 2" with the business idea "Sporise."

The teams generated the following business ideas:

Team 1 (Wattsun): Students created a project aiming at using solar energy and membranes to solve the problem of clean potable water on earth.

Team 2 (Sporise): Students created a social media platform to bring together individuals interested in sports, professionals, nutritionists and sports stores with the aim of promoting sports.

Team 3 (DFS): Students designed a game to encourage the youth to socialize and discover.

Team 4 (Nisarf). They designed a machine with which one can produce his/her own perfume. They aimed that everyone could make their perfumes at home with fragrances they chose.

Team 5 (3Deco): They designed an application which enables customers to see decorative products virtually in 3D with smart phones before buying. Students tried to help with doubt during shopping that a decorative product might not fit its prospective environment.
