3 groups of last-year students from the Abdullah Gül University (AGU) Industrial Engineering department were accepted into the TÜBİTAK Funding Programme for Industrial Graduation Projects.

The graduation projects are being carried out under the academic supervision of Prof. İbrahim Akgün, Dr. Selçuk Gören and Dr. Muhammed Sütçü and in cooperation with leading companies of the Turkish defense industry, namely ASELSAN and FNSS and with DİTAŞ in the automotive supply industry within the framework of university-industry partnerships.

In the "Supplier Evaluation Process in Defense Industry: Optimization of the Criteria Cluster" project run by Umut Yapır and Şükrü Yasin Güven with the company supervisor Dr. Murat Aslan, the aim is to optimize the criteria cluster of ASELSAN for the supplier selection and evaluation process both quantitatively and qualitatively with statistical and mathematical models.

In the "Estimating Bottleneck Risks of Parts in Production" project run by Buray Türkmen, Ramis Akın Korkmaz and Fatma Bulut with the company supervisor Berk Karahan, the aim is to estimate delays in the supply process of FNSS with machine learning based on current delay problems.

In the "Enhancing the Cutting Process in Automotive Supply Industry" project run by Şeyma Doğan, Kürşat Çelebi and Muhammed Şafak Pınar with the company supervisor Tezay Kartal, the aim is to determine the most suitable raw material dimensions for supply and arranging the cutting combinations of these raw materials in a manner minimizing potential financial loss for DİTAŞ.

Each group will receive TL 4 thousand grant from TÜBİTAK to cover the expenses of their projects.
