Abdullah Gül University (AGU) will have its first graduates this year and offered its graduating students the opportunity to find jobs and internships by bringing companies to them at "Career Kitchen, Meeting with Companies".
Many leading companies from different sectors in Turkey set up booths for the event held at the Rectorate Exhibition Hall on the Sümer Campus.
Besides helping AGU's graduating students to meet with companies in their line of work, the event also aimed to help companies find students matching their own criteria. At the event, company representatives and graduating students had the chance of talking face-to-face.
Graduating students, managers and Humans Resources managers of the companies attended the event.
Additionally, a panel was organized within the "Career Kitchen, Meeting with Companies" event. At the panel, companies introduced themselves, talked about business life and gave students some advice.
Prof. Bülent Yılmaz, Head of AGU Electrical-electronics Engineering, moderated the panel which was attended by Burak Kılyaran, Technical Support Center at Nokia, Ercan Bezan, Senior Finance Manager at Stryker, Mustafa Uğuz from Arçelik, Zeki Oralhan from Türk Telekom, Metin Nil, R&D Manager at Vestel Electronics, and Murat Kaan, Business Development Manager at ASPILSAN.
Vice Rector Prof. Cengiz Yılmaz talked at the opening of the panel and said, they attach great importance to the Career Kitchen event since Abdullah Gül University will have its first graduates this year.
Prof. Yılmaz stated: "We always try to educate our students with love and care. Naturally in time, they began to showcase themselves for jobs. In a way, through our graduates, we will be showing Abdullah Gül University's tendency to be very different, which we always try to underline, and its mission, which we strive to realize."
