The Model United Nation Conference aiming to solve global problems with high school students as a simulation of United Nations conference was organized by Kayseri Science High School and held at the Conference Hall of Abdullah Gül University (AGU) Sümer Campus.
Prof. Dilek Cindoğlu, AGU Acting Rector and Dean of the Humanities and Social Sciences made the opening speech of the conference and expressed her pleasure at hosting such a conference at AGU, in which global problems were tackled and high school students sought out solutions for them.
İsmail Kaya, Principal at Kayseri Science High School, said that they aimed for students and participants to be knowledgeable about the topics of the KFLMUN conference hosted by AGU and find solutions.
At the conference, Zeynep Tuğçe Çiftçibaşı Güç, AGU Youth Factory Coordinator, gave a presentation to students about AGU and opportunities abroad.
The conference lasted two days with delegates for 127 counties and global issues of terrorism, integration of refugees into host countries, disarmament and improving women's living conditions were discussed.
